Dear CESASC members,

You are invited to attend a workshop organized by the Chinese-American Oceanic and Atmospheric Association, Southern California Chapter (COAA-SCC)

The workshop has two components. The first part of the workshop is to provide the public and younger generation an opportunity to hear first-hand experiences and life lessons from three distinguished scientists. It will feature talks given by Professor Yung of Caltech, Professor Liou from UCLA, and Professor Zhang from UCSD, highlighting significant events in their life story, and how these events have led to their success as scientists and where they are today. The second part of the workshop is to provide an open forum to bridge the gaps of older and younger generations of scientists in different ways of thinking, living and working; and to discuss the challenge, struggle and frustration facing the younger generation of scientists.
