CESASC is one of the largest and the most established Chinese-American professional organizations in Southern California. Founded in 1962, CESASC has been dedicated to promoting interests, aspirations, and professional excellence of Chinese-American engineers and scientists. CESASC provides career and educational advancement opportunities, technical exchange, fellowship and community service. In particular, CESASC offers annual scholarships to encourage young students to develop their interests and pursue their careers in the fields of science, engineering, and technology.

In the past ten years, CESASC gave away more than $100,000 in scholarships awarded to more than one hundred excellent students. This year, we will continue our tradition and offer the following opportunities:

1. Ten CESASC scholarships,
2. Three CESASC JHT scholarships for fundamental science (Math, Physics, Chemistry), 
3. Three Lisa Lu Foundation (盧燕基金會) scholarships for awardees majoring in literature and arts.

All applications should be submitted online at here  by April 17, 2021. Please refer to the attached FAQ file for all the necessary details. If you have any further questions, please send email to:  scholarship@cesasc.org.

All the scholarship recipients will be invited to the CESASC Annual Convention and network with professionals in the fields. Graduate student recipients may also be invited to present their research work at the CESASC Annual Convention. Each scholarship recipient will be paired up with a mentor who is a CESASC member.

The awardees will be announced on April 18, 2021. The awardees must attend in person the CESASC 2021 Virtual Annual Convention to receive the awards. The awardees are also recommended to join CESASC as a member, commit themselves to volunteer at CESASC STEM program (e.g., mentoring middle/high school participants of STEM essay contest), and help organizing future CESASC events and annual conventions. Regardless of the results, we encourage all applicants stay involved and participate in future CESASC activities and be part of CESASC family.

南加州中華科工學會大學生/研究生獎學金申請辦法

南加州中華科工學會自1962年成立以來，給數百位在美國各大學學習的大學生和研究生頒發過獎學金，目前一些早年的得獎人已經在各自的行業中頗有建樹。該會將繼續給合格的申請人頒發獎學金，現在申請資料已經公布在本學會網上 http://cesasc.org/2021-cesasc-scholarship-open-application，申請的截止日期是2021年4月17日。

凡是正在美國大學(二年級以上)本科或研究所學習的學生都可以填表申請該獎學金。今年，除以往的10位科工會獲獎者，3位盧燕基金會獲獎者以外,科工學會獲得JHT博士資助，增加3位在數學，物理，化學基礎科學領域獲得原創成果的JHT獎學金獲獎者。在截止日期之前，申請人要將申請表和其他輔助申請材料通過网页 。有關獎學金申請的各種細節，請進一步參考所附的FAQ文件。若有進一步的問題，請聯系我們：scholarship@cesasc.org.

南加州中華科工學會獎學金委員會將根據申請人的學習成績, 包括學術或非學術性獎勵、研究成果、經濟需要、學習目標和課外活動等條件，以及南加州中華科工學會基金會所提供的獎學金數額來決定得獎人，獎學金委員會會輿部分申請人約談，將于2021年4月18日通知申請人得獎與否。 每份獎學金1000美元。合資格的學生可重新申請連續三年。 已得奖者不予考虑。

獲獎者必須出席年會，並加入科工會成為會員，擔當科工會STEM項目志願者（比如，指導初/高中學生STEM論文比賽參與者），並幫助組織未來的科工會活動和年會。

無論得獎與否，期待所有申請人積極參加科工會活動，成為科工會的成員。科工學會獎學金是該學會社區服務的一個重要組成部分，希望學生及其父母借助科工學會的平台，聯係南加州地區從事科學和工程領域的專業人士，發展各自的學業和事業，同時回饋社區。
